Cross Country Wins

Congratulations to our school’s Cross Country teams who did us all proud at the East Mayo schools’ competition in Swinford yesterday. The Boys’s Team (3rd & 4th classes) won gold and the Girls’ Team (5th & 6th classes) won bronze. We also had some great individual prize winners including a first place position in the 3rd and 4th class boys’ race.  The teams and individual winners now go through to the County Finals in Ballina next month. Thank you to the team coaches, Ms. McCann & Ms Coyle.

The girls came up against a very strong Westport team in the final but won out in the end by a point scored by Aoibhinn.

We were delighted to finally celebrate the sacrament of First Communion with pupils from 3rd class last Saturday. It was a long wait for the special day to arrive because of the Covid-19 restrictions. Thank you to the children and their families for the lovely day. A special word of thanks to Fr. Paul, Ms. Groarke, Ms. Toman and Ms. Coyle for the First Confession and First Communion preparations.
