A huge congratulation to our boys’ football team who were crowned County Champions on Tuesday. St. Attracta’s National School won their first county final when then overcame a strong Ballyvary Central N.S, Castlebar in McHale Park, Castlebar. The road to final included wins over Ballyhaunis, Swinford, Charlestown and Westport.
Thank you to the parents and pupils who travelled to the game and to all who welcomed the winning heroes on their return to Ballaghaderreen. A special thanks to Mr. Hughes, team coach, Ballaghaderreen GAA Club for the use of the training facilities and to Mayo Cumainn na mBunscol for organising and running off the competition so well.
