Safe Safe Programme from March to June 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Stay Safe Programme will be taught by your child’s class teacher from March to June 2021. It is a personal safety skills programme for primary schools. Its overall objective is to prevent child abuse, bullying and other forms of victimisation. The lessons are part of the school’s 2 Year Plan for Social Personal and Health Education.
As the most important people in a child’s life it is essential that you are involved in the programme. It’s been shown that programmes like Stay Safe are most effective when parents/guardians are actively involved in the process.

- Talk to your child about the programme. Explain that the programme will teach them how to keep safe.
- Set aside time for discussion of the worksheets that your child may bring home as homework from time to time.
